Last month I attended the Four Seasons Preferred Partner meeting. They had lots of newsworthy information to share: hotel news and more.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced its Private Jet tour, featuring 22 days and ten destinations, all connected by the luxury of a private jet. It’s a small group tour that takes place October-November 2012, starting in Los Angeles and ending in London. This is a rare opportunity to see the world.
In other Four Seasons news, their new property at Park Lane in the Mayfair neighborhood of London has reopened after an extensive renovation and it’s a lovely, glamorous addition to the city.
Another noteworthy London hotel is The Savoy, which is located in the theatre district and has also undergone recent renovations. And the place to be at dinnertime is Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental. It boasts traditional English fare with a haute scientific twist-very interesting.
If you’re already thinking about a summer family vacation, I recommend Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island. It has what they call “glamping”-you can get all the outdoorsiness you want, without having to give up modern luxuries like full ensuite bathrooms. This is the perfect spot for multi-generational getaways.
An important note for business travellers to Europe: Did you know you are eligible to receive Value Added Tax refunds on certain business expenses? Claim your refunds through FEXCO; this is a great way to improve cost efficiency on corporate travel.
Thanks for reading. I will have another blog post soon with more news, updates, and interesting finds.
