AMA WATERWAYS INTRODUCES NEW AFRICA ITINERARY

Next March, AmaWaterways will add a new Africa itinerary that combines the best of past Africa offerings. Starting at $10,700, the new 12-day Wildlife & the Falls itinerary will take guests from a Botswanan safari, through urban Johannesburg and a guided tour of Victoria Falls, to an additional safari stay within South Africa’s Kruger National Park.

All sailings will take place onboard the 28-passenger, all-suite Zambezi Queen. The vessel, often referred to as a floating lodge, was designed for optimal game viewing. The top level features an open-air pool deck, where travelers can relax with and enjoy 360-degree views of the Chobe River and its daily visitors, including the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Each guest enjoys a private balcony and spacious stateroom, as well as air conditioners throughout. The ship is also environmentally responsible, using a jet propulsion system that preserves the river bed and uses a solar heating system to supply guests with hot water.

In addition to AmaWaterways’ newest Africa itinerary, the river cruise operator will also feature several other unique sailings onboard the Zambezi Queen in the 2017/18 season.
