What’s worse than a long layover while trying to reach your destination? A long layover over the holiday season, when missed connections, bad weather, and waiting for your next flight gets in the way of family, friends, and celebrations. Luckily, Denver International Airport (DEN) has made the holiday season more enjoyable for weary travelers by opening up a free ice-skating rink!

Throughout the holiday season, DEN is getting festive and operating an ice-skating rink in the open-air plaza between the Main Terminal and on-site Westin Hotel complete with free rentals, music (carolers, too!), a winter market, and live performances. There is also a changing area and luggage storage space for travelers to use.

The rink is sponsored by United Airlines and is open every day between 9 AM and 9 PM local time until January 1.
