Celebrity Cruises has revealed plans to home port 2,850-passenger Celebrity Eclipse in Dublin, a first for a major cruise line. Voyages are slated to be operated out of the Irish capital from late April through June of 2018. New itineraries out of Celebrity’s newest home port will include a 10-night Ireland and Iceland sailing that features calls at Belfast in Northern Ireland; Reykjavik and Akureyri in Iceland; Lerwick, Scotland; and Cork in Ireland.

The ship’s new deployment will bring an end to the vessel’s eight-year run of operating summer sailings out of Southampton, England. Sister ship, Celebrity Silhouette, will replace the ship during the summers for now.
