International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Vueling and Iberia, has announced details on the company’s newest offering – a transatlantic, low-cost airline. Known as Level, the new airline will be based in Barcelona and is expected to launch in June. The airline will share it’s base of operations with Vueling, providing an easy connection to the company’s European network. Level will offer flights between Barcelona and Los Angeles, Oakland, Buenos Aires, and Punta Cana. The twice-weekly Barcelona-Los Angeles route will begin on June 1, while the thrice-weekly Barcelona-Oakland route will begin on June 2. Flights to Buenos Aires and Punta Cana are expected to begin later in the month. Level will use the Airbus A330 with economy and premium economy seating. All travelers will enjoy the complimentary seatback entertainment.
