Qatar Airways has unveiled QSuite, new pods that feature the first double beds in a business class cabin. The QSuites will be retrofitted onto existing Qatar aircrafts beginning in June. This unique design is a “world first” in many ways, challenging industry norms by offering passengers more privacy, choice, and personalization.

Non-window seats can be configured in clusters of four, with two side-by-side pods opposing two other side-by-side pods. Passengers will have the option of using moveable barriers to keep the pods separate or to move TV monitors so that they are clear to interact with each other. Families of four will be able to share meals or play games together within what essentially amounts to a private suite; business teams will be able to conduct meetings. The side-by-side pods can also lie flat together as one double bed.
