Alaska Airlines continues to make moves following its acquisition of Virgin America. According to reports, by October the two airlines will consolidate their operations at New York John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport and collectively operate out of Terminal 7. The move will see Alaska relocate from its current location at Terminal 8, while Virgin America will move from its position in Terminal 4. The new location will place the two airlines in the same terminal as partners British Airways, Qantas, and Icelandair. Combined, Alaska and Virgin America operate 14 flights per day out of JFK, and will continue to operate as two separate brands until the Virgin America brand is retired in 2019.
