After the Australian government granted approval for ride-sharing services in August, Qantas (QF) is now offering its Frequent Flyer members the ability to earn points when booking Uber rides to and from Australian airports. Members can now tap the Uber icon in the Qantas app and book Uber services to or from the following airports: Adelaide, Avalon, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Maroochydore, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney, Toowoomba, and Townsville.

For each A$1 spent, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum One Frequent Flyer members will earn three points.  Silver members will earn two points for each dollar spent, and Bronze members will receive one point.

For members new to Uber, Qantas will give 2,000 bonus miles for signing up and booking their first ride via the smartphone app.
