New perks and incentives are on the way for American Airlines passengers. The airline conglomerate announced its plans this month to devote billions to fleet upgrades, including more comfortable lie-down seats, improved satellite Wi-Fi, and free in-flight texting on select mobile apps such as iMessage.

Additionally, passengers flying First and Business class will be treated to a new premium sleeping set consisting of plush pajamas and slippers, blankets, and pillows with a new partnership with bedding company Casper.  Flyers opting for the Main Cabin Extra product will receive free drinks and dedicated overhead bin storage by Q2 2018. The airline also intends to increase the availability of frequent flier seats to make it easier to book free travel using AAdvantage miles.
