Princess Cruises recently announced its 2019/2020 itineraries for South America and the Panama Canal.

The South America program will feature 17 departures, 3 of which will be on the Coral Princess, sailing between Buenos Aires and Santiago, with a visit to Antarctica in between. The remaining itineraries will range in length from 14 days to a full 58-day circumnavigation of the continent, including stops at Easter Island, Machu Picchu, Iguazu Falls, and Patagonia. Departures will also be offered from Fort Lauderdale, Santiago, and Buenos Aires, with overnight stays in Buenos Aires, Lima, and Rio. Princess will visit no less than 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of their South America offerings in 2019/2020.

The inaugural season of the Emerald Princess will see the Neo-Panamax ship moving through both the Agua Clara (Atlantic) and the new Cocoli (Pacific) locks, following a 10-year, $5 billion expansion of the canal. Full-transit departures will embark from Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver. Itineraries will range from 10 to 21 days and will include live narration on the canal’s history and function, as well as a cruise of Gatun Lake. Princess will deploy 5 ships to the Panama Canal in 2019/2020, including the Caribbean Princess, Coral Princess, Emerald Princess Island Princess and Pacific Princess. Not to be outdone by its South America itineraries, Princess’ Panama Canal cruises will visit 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
