Southwest Airlines discontinues a nostalgic airline staple this month, when the airline stops serving peanuts onboard, citing the desire to provide a better onboard experience for passengers with peanut allergies.

Pretzel fans, fear not! Your favorite baked, salty snack will still be offered, and peanut lovers can still bring them onboard a Southwest flight if purchased in the airport. Passengers with peanut allergies should still inform the airline of their condition when purchasing their ticket so that the flight’s air crew is aware.
