Formula One recently announced that it will be adding a fourth race to its Asian round in 2020, with Hanoi joining existing races in China, Japan, and Singapore. The inaugural running of the Vietnam Grand Prix will be in April 2020.
Formula One has long discussed ideas to broadening its appeal by adding new destination cities, and the addition of a new street circuit through the Vietnamese capital is a concrete result of those ideas. The addition of a Grand Prix, and all the events surrounding it, will surely add to the already robust and growing tourism industry in Vietnam.
