Servicing more than 70 million passengers annually, Los Angeles International Airport is one of the busiest in the world, and with that many people transiting the airport, there’s no shortage of things to do!
EAT
Following massive renovations, the Tom Bradley International Terminal resembles an upscale mall, and with gastronomy options ranging from CHAYA’s upscale sushi to LA’s favorite Umami Burger, you’re sure to find a delectable delight! Need to ward off the pre-flight jitters? Enjoy some bubbly at the Petrossian Caviar & Champagne Bar. If local fare is more your speed, check out Terminals 4 & 5, which feature local LA hotspots like Homeboy Industries Café, Chef Roy Choi’s Kogi Truck, and Ford’s Filling Station.
SEE
If you have enough time to kill, consider heading out of the airport and over to adjacent Dockewiler Beach to enjoy the sea breeze. Manhattan, Venice, and Santa Monica beaches are also close by, but we don’t recommend venturing off without less than a few hours to spare. If you don’t have time to run through security again, go on a scavenger hunt! LAX is full of permanent and rotating art exhibitions to explore.
SHOP
Get the Rodeo Drive experience in Great Hall of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. With luxury shops ranging from Bvlgari and Burberry to Fred Segal and Kitson LA, you’re sure to find some special gifts to bring home.
DO
In tandem with the airport’s refurbishment plans, many airlines have upgraded their lounges. Of note, are the posh Oneworld and Star Alliance lounges, as well as the new Virgin America Clubhouse, United Polaris Lounge, and American Admirals Club.
